So, I’ve decided to start a blog! If you thought I talked about running a lot, it’s about to level up!
If I am honest, it’s something I’ve fancied doing for a while. I don’t proclaim to be an amazing writer, but I think it could be a bit of fun. I’ve also worried, what if people think it’s a pile of turds? Why would anyone want to read something I’ve written?
It’s so easy to talk yourself out of things. Give yourself a million reasons for why you shouldn’t do something.
Well the other day I decided, why the hell not!? Why the hell not give it a go? It might only be read by Jamie (cheers pal) and might not be an internet sensation. But on the other hand, it might be good fun. It might be a success. But I will never know until I give it a go.
Well, here I am giving it a go. And shitting it a little at the same time.
But aren’t the best things the ones that make you shit it a little? The things out of your comfort zone? Like when I signed up for the Edinburgh Marathon. Or the thought of running Dirty Weekend next year. (FYI I will probably speak about Dirty Weekend a lot, it’s the biggest obstacle course race in the world and I am pumped to be running it!)
So, what am I going to write about? Who the hell knows! Probably running, hills, adventuring and a little bit (okay a lot) about my other love, food.
Let’s all ignore the slight issue that I am starting a running blog when I am injured and not running properly. Amazing timing Abby!
But oh well. I had my “why the hell not” moment and wanted to grab it by the balls.
So here I am, grabbing the balls of life and doing my first blog post. Watch this space for more to come!
Currently: still shitting it
